Updates On My Kamfa..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Everything is perfect about this fish but it needs colors! Have you fed it Chingmix? It will work for this fish.. I had a fish like this b4. An unfaded red monkey. I fed chingmix and he turned red. Not fade but just turned red.

Very handsome & adorable fish. MP to me because it it flawless and good looking

Do you feed him worms? Their heads get bigger if they like em.

I don't have chingmix, bro.. I've heard good things bout it but never actually got the chance to use it..
Do you mean bloodworms? I feed him frozen bloodworms every now & then & he loves them.. :)
Do you have pics of the red monkey?
I'm starting to think that my kamfa is actually a SRS but without the red..

Nice fish! Any fatty fish food will help with the kok. King worms with the head cut off, blood worms, pellets, prawns, shrimp. All those will help the kok size. Yeah I use grand sumo red for color. Just keep mixing up the foods u give him and I am sure he will be a awsome fish! Heck already is IMHO. O yeah one last thing a blue background and like red or black on the bottom of the tank also helps alot with color.

Just thought I'd post an update on him..
He's currently on a strict NLS diet to see if The Proof of the Pudding is "really" in the Eating..
It's been almost a month now so let me know if you guys see any change..

just like any fish thats growing up he is starting to full in. to me his kok seems a bit bigger. there ins more rosey color around and under the gill plates. if u can get grand sumo red it bruoght colors out in my fish withing a day or 2.

He is a sweet fish but his color is just so dull. New life spectrum is a good staple pellet but I don't think it really had any effects on him. He is growing nicely though. To improve the color on this fish you're going to want to put the multicolored background back up and some kind of substrate/decorations so he can get comfortable. I would also start feeding him a lot of krill based products to see if you can get any more color out of him.

The body itself looks good, i would do what cam said but also, mix his diet even more with some krill, mysis shrimp, and some flowerhorn pellet. he looks to be getting a little more red in his chest. keep up the good work:cool-1:

Thx guys for all the comments.. & yeah I do feed him market shrimps coated with Ocean Free Beautifier & frozen bloodworms once a week..
