Hes a great fish i think i like the dull colors! Everyone has bright colord flowerhorns its nice to see something diffrent. I was told that Hikari Lionhead pellets work amazing. it doesn have 53% protein. A buddy said his flowerhorn is hooked on it and he got better resalts with it then Grand sumo. Infact his fish wont eat grand sumo now.. go figure. Now I mix it in with the grand sumo so my guys get both.

Yes it is... and I have. Apperntly the ranchu and lion heads get the brain looking head and this food is soposed to make it bigger. So i quesss it does the same thing to a flowerhorn. I know my fish distory it all right away! Since i have started feeding it to them not one pellet has tuoched the bottom on the tank they eat it all so fast. Mine are even started to egnore the grand sumo!
fhs are suppose to get better with colors and stuff as they get bigger. I remembered this one was starting out good. Why is it all pale and no big horn? You need to change some stuff. Did i mentioned chingmix for this type of fish? a handful of corals and water at 84-86. honestly, he's not gotten better. check your temp.
I honestly don't know what I did wrong.. I've tried corals, setting the temp at 82~84, doing 1~2 times water changes a week, changed tank background.. but so far nothing... which is why I've come to a conclusion that this fh won't have much to show..
