thanks channarox but the fact is, this cohab is falling apart. the armatus are the disruptive variable. they grow way faster than any of the other characins and can take down fish larger than half their length or kill them trying. Lost 2 VATFs recently, they were shanked to death.
Just passed by the tank and saw a huge buldge in the armatus's belly. Shocked to find the meanest largest armatus had just eaten the smallest GATF, this was the runt, blind in one eye it ate the least and most timid. Photo attached was when I first got the GATF; it was 8"s at time of death.
I bought baby armatus for this very reason, so the other fish had a chance. didn't quite work out that way.
A divider is going in asap... but i'm confronted with a problem. The orig plan was to keep all these fish together. Not sure what to do now... may be with a bigger tank, this could be avoided. Prob not... will need to look for bigger feeders.
