UPGRADE: 55 Gallon Tanganyika Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This morning, right before I went to work, I saw my female and my male (Yellow Tail) doing some courting... so I sat down and watched for awhile... all of a sudden I saw a small little yellow ball float down aways and the female caught it in her mouth... then the other male (blue tail) caught her attention and she switched males... and this happened again for another 4 to 5 times... I really hope these ones survive

One female is holding... not sure if shes the same one or not... Is anybody still following this thread?

Anybody? No? Cool, I'll still keep posting no matter what though... just so I can have a record of the progress... So pretty big news today... Stripped the female that was holding... 3 fully developed fry greeted me from the darkest corners of their mom's mouth... I'd say a pretty darn good first time mouth brooder... very excited to raise them myself... probably won't sell these guys unless I find more Cyprichromis for my growing colony... I'd rather have new bloodlines rather than the same one... Going to get a Digital Camera Hopefully on Black Friday... Very Excited

Sad to announce, this tank is now taken down, fish went back to the store, and snails are now with my goldfish fry from my pond... The light was so powerful that the evaporation was too great. A month ago I pulled my bed out from my wall, there was a whole bunch of black mold. Parents told me that the fish tank either had to go and I could downsize to a smaller tank. I did downsize to a Saltwater fish tank, 14 gallon biocube to be exact. I'm in the process of making a thread for that one so I will continue to update that tank. It pained me to see all of my hardwork and money lost, but when one door closes another one opens.

I hope everyone has a great New Year and great things come to all of you
