Nice! Do you know how many types there are?

Andapa, Fony, and Marolambo are the only three I know of.

I've heard that there are possibly as many as 10 variants out there though. I check davesfish.com regularly to see if he gets any new variants. I'd like to get some more Fony as I only have one and would like to try to breed them. The other two I have now are more than likely hybrids.

One of them at the LFS was labeled Maralambo but he was still dark brown with white spots. IDK if that was a mislabel or what, but I'd prefer to see the fish you're buying before when it comes to Paratilapia.

One person on this site posted their normally black paratilapia in his "morning" dress which was brown.

Mine are sexually mature and are still brown when first waking up or stressed.
