I was out of the hobby for a few years and recently got back into it. I have a 150 right now and already going after a 240 long. What would be the best filtration for this size of a tank. The 150 is the largest I have had and I have an FX6 and AquaClear 110 on it

I run 2 fx6 on my 300 and it's adequate although not optimal.

Definitely go sump. I have a 55 gallon sump for my 220. I recommend you get a 75 and use it as your sump. I really wish I would have held out for a 75 to use as my sump. You will definitely be glad you went with a sump once it's all setup and easy to maintain.

There are all different configurations you can use for a sump. I prefer simple and really easy to build! A lot of people like to build really complex sumps with a lot of baffles... all my sumps have had a single baffle for a bio ball wet / dry (trickle) arrangement. Works great!
Every time I build one it gets more and more simple lol.

Do you guys have any directions on a good sump build

I had some really good instructions from a salt water website that gave you everything. I used GE silicone 1 to silicone the baffles and painters tape and DVD cases to set the baffle height and make sure they were at a 90° angle. This was a brand new 40 breeder IMG_7115.JPGIMG_7116.JPG
