I'd recommend rehoming the heckelii as is, because it's likely that in another 6 months time, unless they're two females or a calm pair, that they'll be beating eachother up.

I say wait until it happens, my two males get on fine other than the occasional flare and lip lock. Just be ready to separate them if they do start getting aggressive.
