upgraded to 55g... suggestions?

haha yeah i knew the filter would come up, thats the next thing on my list. exactly what would you suggest for filtration of this tank, including everything i would need to buy.

I didn't say it was bad. At the time when I bought that piece too I was a broke ass 13 y/o middle school kid.

To keep those current fish, go big on everything.
If you are that strapped for cash (like most of us), thin/replace the stock with more compatible fish to the tank size and get an AC110.

I remember the happy day oh so long ago when I got my first 55 gallon. I thought, "This thing is huge...now I can really keep some fish!". My first tank was a 39 hex that I inheirited. It came with a crappy sponge filter. It had a manufacture date of 1971...in 1996 hahahah. What a piece of crap but I loved it. :screwy: Now look at me.
 
yeah ive had just my one 29 for about 3 years now and this thing is just massive to me. afraid anything bigger would break through my floor. and yes whoever asked the needlefish only eat feeders.
