Upgrading the tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Amazing jib. :)
Aren't you afraid if not having a middle reinforcement on the tank?

Either way, fts when you get to that! ;)

The filter tank is only going to hold 25gallons of water, that is without the media, the media, I have chosen is also quite light, K1 in the first compartment, pop soil in the second and third compartment, and will be growing some plants along with them.

The base of the filter tank is 0.5" thick and I have been running these kinda filters on 6 footers too, and the base holds.

There's a lot more to be done, although this weekend I did finish adding the background, added the inlet plumbing for the filter.

Well, some decor, has been finally added along a the substrate.

Now waiting for the hood, lighting for the hood and lighting for the filter. And some driftwood too

Since the plumbing is done, wanted to check out the flow of water and the current in the tank, and was greeted with loud gurgling of water.

So here's my solution to this problem

Got the hood a few days ago

It took me three days to take an hour out and fix the lights to the hoods

Yet to provide a permanent electrical switchboard and add the light fixtures for the filter
