Upgrading to a 125 Gallon

I like your thoughts on the stock but it would be better to just have one of each cause if the GTs do breed could cause problems for the others. Personally, I either have a breeding pair with dithers or a community of cichlids.

Okay then you may want to keep an eye out for the Severums-I think they would be fine in a tank that size-just have a lot of caves and add some dithers (like the ones you mentioned). And most def. don't get 2 JD cause if they breed and your GTs breed will cause an all out war.

if you want the Sevs with the JD and GT then get a pair , they will be aggressive enough to take care of themselves - may even bully the others . When I added a large female JD to my tank the breeding pair of Sevs were nasty to the JD at first but now one defend one end of the tank that is their territory . Let the Sevs stake a claim before adding the others .

i have a pair of Giant Danios.....my 4" Gt doesn't even bother them. in my 125 i have a pair of GT a Firemouth, Frontosa, 7Clown loach, Gold Nug pleco, 2 Bala shark, and no problems the Gts aren't breeding so i know that has alot to do w/ the agression level in the tank. i love my GTs and won't think of gettin rid of them

How many Giant Danios should I get for a 125 Gallon tank?

Also, I'm using up all my spare funds on the tank so the GTs will be in there a good month or so before I can add any more fish, is this going to cause issues even if I rearrange the tank before adding more fish?

And which should I add after the GTs? The JD or the Sevs?
