hey guys im thinking of trading in my commons for 3 or 4 fancy colorful plecos(gold nugget,adonis..) im thinking under 10" fullgrown, any ideas?:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

Adonis? That will exceed over 10 inches. For a 75g, gold nuggets will work fine. How about snowball?

There are hundreds of plecos that will fit your size requirements. Don't expect to get anything for your commons and expect to pay $30-60 per plec.

scarlet is L25,

if you are looking to put real plants in your tank the safest plecos to go with are the Gold nuggets. I think most of the other plecos will tear up your plants.

wow scarlet looks great fully grown, how about scarlets and clowns will they destroy my plants?
and also how big do they get?
thanks again for the info

Should he be worried about the smaller ones with his Texas?

Dunno. How aggressive is Big Tex towards his tank mates?

If he is worried about it I would add a bunch of low lying cover. Small caves along the ground the Texas can't get into. That should allow the Plecos to survive till they are big enough to defend themselves...

During the day the Plecos will be hiding down low. The Texas will likely not mess with them. At night the Texas is going to be really mellow just chilling out while the Plecos do their thing....
