Upset wi/ a student

All loricariids are from south america. Just because it is found in the waters of Florida does not make it 'native'. It is an illegal act to release a fish into wild waters. Plecos can have detrimental effects on native waters as well, which is why there is a possible ban on the loricariidae family in the US. Do not think it is OK in any way, don't think that no one can do anything. We must do everything we can or we may loose all of these great fish.
 
Euthanize it? i bet she did once it hit the water... let her be, sorry were all not as smart as the all mighty teacher... i hated high school.

Read this months issue of FAMA. The pleco is definitely screwing with the native ecosystem.
 
im sure a high school student MOST LIKELY a juvenile would get no jail time.. its bad dont get me wrong.. but i dont find the reaction professional.. u dont get in an argument with a student... you tell them your 2 cents..

I have also heard of people flushing their plecos when they get too big. Im sure in the sewers there mutated 7foot plecos now.

Depending on age the kid could be charged, in the case that decide not to charge the kid, the parents will be held responsible.

Just because there is already a population doesn't mean you should turn a blind eye. If children are the future she'll end up growing up thinking things like that are right. What she going to introduce next? Releasing fish is bad m'kay
