yea and the last big marble did the same all the time... my water is always perfect used to pet the top of her and tickle her belly.... keep a eye on it.. but having had a few rays that do this i chalk it up to them being a little weird
thats is so awesome she turned out soo pretty...they all look so much better and almost back to perfect..all healed up its amazing...i miss them im glad i got to visit today...ill bring you black bottom cupcakes tomorrow ashface...
1. The tank light is too bright for the ray. "Walking on the ceiling" is the only way for the ray to avoid the bright light.
2. Feel warmer when it stay closer to the light.
My orbignyi and my yepezi's do this everyday. They are just searching for food in the tank and playing. Just think of it like this........They are extremely happy to be in a nice home!!!!!!!
Not at all. We actually just got done graduating Leland (our biggest, and the only ray bigger than her) to the 360-gallon. We actually transported her to the 360 last night as well. So, I think we'll just see how things go in there. She still continutes to trace the sides of tank with her disc flapping above the water line, ha. But she did that in the other tank as well. I have no idea what she is doing... lol.
Love how the light transfers through its spiracles....
looks like its breathing heavy in the vid if the water is cool is another ray botherin it.sometimers when my big ray picks on others the stick to the wall of the pond for a while
You know, that's the weird thing. All of our rays get along great. She doesn't really have anything to hide from. I don't know how worried I should really be. She just did it three times within about half an hour for about 30 seconds each time..?

Those are definitely some possibilities. We're gonna have to see how she does in the 360. Any time we're not watching the rays, we always keep the lights off. They're never on for very long. Who knows...
