sorry for your lose bro i no how that good it sounds like u care alot about so im sure he will do well
the 50/50 one is swimming around more but it has a lump on its side there is no fungus just looks like flesh pushing out i dont know if it is the aftermath of the near death fate or somthing new it also has a film over its eye it was cloudy and had fungus on it but i have treated that.

Name all the stuff in your tank it might be something u have in there Or how often do u change your filter system

i am doing something good as both of the fish are swimming around fine. as mentioned earlier one of the fish looked to have a burn on its side turned out to be fungus i have cleared this with protozin i( i think this is uk version of your melfix )
