  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok. I may well of tried the same at your age but no need to reinvent the wheel, others with scientific training have done the experiments already use their experience. Its bordering on cruel experimenting on fish like this.

My other advice is nearly all fish diseases are environmental and brought on by lack of water changes 90% of the time or lack of filtration, so really focus on water quality and increase your water change schedule and I bet you won't have any problems in the future.

Yes, im 12 so i have a few dosen meds, and i can barely afford to buy more so i look at the ingredients and find a few may would work together to treat a fish. I test them on a convict, and if that convict lives I write the combination down and use it to treat fish. I know it sounds dumb, but i am not going to buy meds for 30 dollars for for a fish i can get for 10 dollars at a auction.

perhaps you need to re-evaluate keeping live animals then, with an attitude so blase :(

With that attitude I don't know why you keep fish....90% of my stock was free, they are north American native fish that I netted myself, and I've spent the money were needed on fish that I could easily replace at the ponds up the road from me. I'm sure you aren't a terrible fishkeeper but having any pet comes with the responsibility of doing what you can for it when it needs help...regardless of the cost.

wow,, why not just do as suggested? I think fish been fine. you will find keeping any pet, not just fish, allot more expensive than the pet itself. shame was a nice looking oscar,

How big is your tank housing these fish? That's a shame it died but I bet it would've healed and lived with salt water and clean water.

Here's the thing with fish keeping. Your the owner what happens in your tank is your responsibility and only your fault no one else's.

12 years old with these crazy big Giants? You know that red tail cat fish will eat you in a year right he'll probably be bigger than you. Mine was 4 foot big and too small in my 500 gallon

The tank is 300 gallons and i have a 450 gallon ready for them when they get bigger.
The 300 gallon tank is a rubbermaid tub and the 450 is a glass tank my dad built.
