Sorry if this is the wrong sub forum but this gets more traffic. 8 out of the 17 fish have died and the survivors are on the floor suffering. help their colors are fading and have wierd red stuff on fins. Water has 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite. I just did a 90% water change yesterday due to poop color. There's no chemicals in the water. Please help.

It might be just stress from the lack of oxygen and then the huge water change?
Are you sure you put enough water conditioner? What are the params of the water coming from the tap?
The fish also look bloated, where you feeding them heavily?

Have you tested your water ? How long was the power off for ? Your beneficial bacteria in your filter could have died off while filter was switched off , that combined with a massive water change could have started an ammonia spike off , just my thoughts I could be way off but the redness on your fish looks like ammonia burns too

Test your water my guesses are your ammonia and nitrates are much too high , if it is small water changes little and often is better than huge ones at this stage to give your filter bb chance to balance out again
