URGENT HELP REQUIRED PLEASE Florida Gar Not Eating

Hi Guys

Gave him some feeders yesterday and the were gone in a few secs. Thanks alot for the advise. Will carry on giving him feeders/shrimp with the hope he will take pallets. Did any of you guys lose any fish to ur ***s, what is the ratio for tank mates, reason being i have a few polypterus endlicheri and one of them eat a Aba aba almost the same size as him.
 
i dont have a qt tank for feeders so i just feed frozen food. im going to try to feed the floating sticks later today. thanks alot for the idea, ill let you know how it goes
 
i wouldn't starve him its best to give them options they will eventually take to it. try market shrimp, tie it to your filter output or powerhead with some fishing line so it looks like its weaving and bobbing he should eat it right up. i only keep mine with fish that ar to big to fit in thier mouth anything that does fit will be considered food to a hungry gar, you would be surprised how large thier mouth can be and how they choke down oversized foods

You are a genius. I will try this today. I have been trying to get him off rosey and guppys to no avail. I Will try this now. Thank you :P
