No idea. Like I said he stopped eating for a while, but ive read of larger aros fasting occasionally and decided to wait it out rather than try to treat his entire 250 gallon tank for some mysterious ailment I didn't know about. his only symptom was lack of appetite. 19.5 inches from barbels to tail tip. I am now officially monsterless.
 
my 2 year old went vertical a couple hours after a water change. All parameters were good. He didnt make it through the night. Final conclusion was a swim bladder issue
