Seems to me that you tank is cycling. You have a lot of stock in that tank (depending on size). I would definitely advise stepping up the water changes on a daily basis at about 50% per WC. Only use the prime during WC.

:iagree: 50%+ WC a day until you get it stabilized. you could also throw some aquarium plants in there. without CO2 they'd probably die in a week or two, but they should help to lower the levels if you wanted to do that. i added some plants to my tank a few days ago. my last water change was a 50% about a week ago, and my nitrites and nitrates are both now at very very close to zero [the test reads zero, but it's a strip test and i know there are at least i tiny bit in there], which is less than they were when i put the plants in [they were a little higher when i put the plants in.

Thank you all for the help, i moved my polys to another smaller tank. The water is still very bad in the tank, i have lost all the other fish now. Will be stopping this tank this weekend. Hopefully i will be setting up my 180gallon tank this weekend if its ready.

This week has been the hardest in my fish keeping life so far, lost my fish that were price less to me. But i have learnt from this experience which the positive and will keep on going.

Once again thank you all for the advise. Who ever came up with this website should be the king of world.
