URGENT HELPPPP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd recommended a 75% water change. Make sure you put the appropriate amount of dechlorinator, keep the oxygen up and turn off the lights.

Did you ever go get a ammonia and nitrate test kit? Those readings might have given more members some more insite to the problem. With the picture and the min readings you posted I think you received all the advice that was available.

It sucks to lose a fish so I'm sorry for your loss.

from the photo it looked like your fish was going through a swim bladder issue/ bloat which can be caused by several things . I only check mfk every so often. The others are right one of the causes of this is high ammonia levels. But if this was just the one fish and no others it was definitely bloat and not ammonia levels . If you have any other problems with any other fish . You can always post in the disease and health issue section . Many experts will reply shortly and try to help as best as they can !

I'm sorry for your loss. I just saw this thread, the parameters are important for making an educated guess as to what the issue is and recommending the correct medications to use. If the Ph was 6 I doubt ammonia would have been much of an issue but 6 is pretty low for a Festae although that in of itself shouldn’t cause an issue per se. This should have been posted in the Freshwater Disease and Health Issue section where it might have gotten more visibility. You said you were surprised by the lack of response but you also didn’t post in the correct section where a lot of members interested and experienced in treating fish go to look for threads like this.
