This morning my carpintis was on the left side of the divider, today when i got home found my female carpintis jumped over the divider and its fins were all bitten out by the male.
Now its head is vertically down, but still breathing. I added aquarium salt, any way to help it? Please help:cry:

done. declared dead.

Sorry to hear about this...Do you by any chance have a quarantine tank? I would seriously transfer the female to one and place an airstone w/ the light off. Good luck.

Put it in a net, deep one if possible, wedge the net frame between the center barce of tank and tank frame. Put some small gravel to weigh the net down. She looks like she will not make it, but this is your best chance. Make suer there is not much movemenmt or water current were it overwelmes her. Just enough for oxygen to keep flowing through her gills. No other fish in her side, as they will nip at her. Add prime and maybe AP's water conditioner. She needs slime, electrolytes and peace. Dim the light, ot turn off. You did good with the salts. Do this, cross your fingers and hope for best. Try and keep her in normal position when you place her in net.

i usually just add salt and stress coat, but you can add medication if you want. hope it pulls through

i don't have any medication, all i did is put it in a bucket with API salt and stress coat. thats all i can do, if it doesn't recover i'll lose this wild caught beauty.

Then you will most likely lose it. You at least have airstone in there? water heated? You need to pump up the temp. to about 82-84, as she is stressed big time.

just lost my escondido he looked exactly like this and last maybe 3 hours, it sucks but sometimes it happens
