best of luck - hope your fish pulls through
thank you man.

Sorry to see that.. but she might not make it...
I've seen enough cichlid attacks to know thats the last stage of any cichlid.. if they can't swim upright and are either vertical upward or downward.. means they can't pull through..

I've lost my Female FH like that to an aggressive male... :(

best wishes with ur fish hopr it pulls through

thank you guys, and yes its vontehillo. It jumped over the male's side and got beaten up. Mid body to tail scales are all gone, and belly is scalelessly white, keeps floating up to the water surface but the good news is that its still alive.
Last night I came home, it was on the bottom of the tank up side down with cloudy eyes, but now its eyes are clear. I added 3 spoons of API salt into the bucket with 3.5/5 gallons of water, and stress coat treats up to 20 gallons, is it harmful to add more? and should i do water changes?

Airstone, pump...Just meant is there aireation in there, and there is...gooD! I think you should do a water change, partial about 20%-30%, more may be too stressful. You did good with the salts, as the fish is in shock and needs electrolytes. Do your water change and add a bit more salt and stress coat. If swimming up right than your chances are good. If seems like it kows what is going on, add a pellet of food, and if it goes for it, your in the clear. Keep us informed. Best of luck to you! I had my male beani beat the crap of his female, and I thought she was a gonner a couple of monthes ago, and she made it, same thing with my grammodes pair a few weeks ago, and she pulled through. They were both in dire conditions like your carpintas, so it is very possible. Again..best of luck.

This morning i did a 1 gallon water change with a full spoon of salt and another spoon of stress coat into the 4/5 gallon bucket. I also went to petstore and got a bottle of pimafix, they said its good for internal and external infection. I asked for Melafix but they said its only good for faster fin growth.
Now it looks like a corps and sorry for double posting, i posted this pic in health section also, just wanna show.

Not good...sorry. I would still try a hand net with some stones in it and put into bucket, just to try and keep the fish upright. The float at surface thing is hurtfull to it.

ya so true, but i didn't know how to hang the net. Few hours ago I have flushed it away with full of painfulness, because that wild caught female was so unique and costful. Thank you so much for helping me this out Joe.
Imma start my breeding project on Super Red Texas as my next approach.

Sorry about your loss man. I'd probably cry if I lost my Tex. But good idea with the super red texas approach.
