Help my bichir has some fuzzy stuff on her and has a bloody patch on her belly. The patch is small and not super bloody. Anyone can help with id of the illness?

Looks like fin rot. Don’t see the bloody spot. Can you get some better photos of the red spot.

Is it eating? Acting normal?

Do as tlindsey tlindsey mentioned.

Would move to a qt tank. Add some salt 1 tsp per gallon to the qt tank. Add triple sulfa and hold on feedings for a bit (after completion of meds). Water checked daily as it ur parameters will rely on water changes to keep clean.

If it were me I would add the salt after a partial water change. I'd also slowly increase temperature a few degrees and add an air stone if needed to ensure good oxygen exchange. Keep us posted. Fingers crossed for you.

Keep temps 78-80 degrees. Looks like fin rot and septicemia.

High temps are good for ich. Anything else should keep temps normal. Certain infections will thrive in high temps.

Also from the pics it looks like it scrapped itself up pretty good. Not sure if those are bichir worms or just damaged scales
