I don't see why this thread should get out of hand. People just need to watch how they type as to not insult anyone.

If Philly doesn't care that his hard earned tax money is being smoked away by some druggy thats his businiess. He pays taxes (so we assume). So it is his money too. I personally think we should not stereotype either, but this can be a touchy situation also. As I stated before I know a few collecting $$ and they use it to buy weed and sit around all day..so it can be difficult to imagin others who do not do the same. We do have to rememeber though the economy is bad, and I am sure there are many out there who got layed off and do need the $$ and are honestly looking for another job.

sorry didn't mean to hit a nerve. I can't believe how sensative people are about it.
im assuming youre only saying that because you havent been around too long. any threads discussing politics and religion are not allowed on this site and it will be locked in no time. THAT IS WHY

In this town a comprehensive drug screen costs a hundred bucks. It would simply be too costly. Welfare workers can spot drug abusers and refer them for treatment. Chronic substance abusers who refuse to seek treatment are cut off welfare.

Any one who is 18-25 and of healthy mind and body have a heck of a time getting welfare in the first place. They may get a helping hand initially but the welfare office is VERY aggressive in getting them to find work and off welfare. Those folks also have to sign agreements stating they will repay the money they are given in the first place.

Maybe in your town, but in Northern KY, Souther OH ,and Miami...AHAHAHAAH
I beg to differ. I know to many...one being a very good friend of mine (still like to consider him best friend) who is taking a turn for the worse...and yes I am trying to help him as much as possible. Very healthy guy with an incredible attitude (at least he use too)..over 1 1/2 years already sucking up my tax $$$. Just another example is an in law whom I have no idea how in the heck they justify their pay. She lied about her ex income so she is recieveing 95% of what she was origionally making from a job she quit. (She was ahving a baby)
Random drug testing could actually save money in many situations. As could a few investigators here and there.

I do agree, we need a method to keep people from mooching off the government. I just think there are better ways of doing it.

J PM me your email addy i got another one for ya...

this one is true though... dont matter if you need it or not... if you fail a drug test you loose your job.... well the same should apply to welfare... cause if you need you wouldnt be doing drugs...
