Here is a picture of my old Uro.

Caveman~

Great Fish.....Because they are not Festae they are underappriceated IMHO....Beautiful Fish

I had a 5.5" Male Uro in my 125 with a 7" Female Jag, a 5" Female RedTiger Mota, a 4" Male Texas, a 7" Male Jack, 3x 4" Male Cons, and a 4" Male HRP......

He did well, the Mota was smaller and ran the Uro slightly, the Jag had no prob with him, The Jack also was cool with the Uro, but the Uro was boss of the rest...Never caused anything more than a 6-12 inch chase tho.....

I was just wondering because the fish are so similar, (Festae and Uro)....

:D

Thanks, its not helping that all the fish shops lable them as Red Terrors then when people buy them and find out down the road that they dont have a Red Terror they fell like they have a piece of trash in there tank.

Agreed, I bought mine as Festae, knowing thanks to this site, they were Uros..

The Reds I get by feeding the Bio-Gold are amazing!!

i dont think the uros show nearly the nice color of the the festea. my male festea looks almost as pretty as my female. while my 2 uros are a very dull red.

Im not comparing them, i'm stating a personal opinion, that I get some amazing reds out of my past Uro's using Bio-Gold. I'd love to see a shot of your festae pair.....I just also think the Uros are under appriceated. Not Festaes, but underated IMHO......

Here is my Old one (Now with bpunisher18) notice the tail split? He got chased by my Carpintis before he outgrew him, and it healed that way....Truly the Pics do not do him justice!!!

Thanks Brother........I hope my new one will show half as good as the last......

Some of my livebearers have tails that dont completely heal. Sad in this case as you hate to see a prized fish will its propeller gone.

i had a friend that had a fish with a tail that wouldn't heal and he trimmed it with a scissor and it grew back fine.
