Fantastic Ken!!! I didn't know you were going to be on the Rio Negro! Will you be able to keep any of the fish you collect from there?

Dave is going, I might have to send a little extra money his way to collect a few pikes for me since I'm out again. :( Seriously jealous!

Felipe and I have been working on the itienerary for March trip, Rivera and Cerro Largo departments, which will include Invernada, upper Rio Negro and Centurion, amazing amount of species in these areas. I can add 2-3 more people to this trip, let's go!

Crenicichla we will catch, celidochilus, missioneria, minuano, several races of saxatalis and scotti, we caught tendybuguassu last trip, the blue punctata and possibly vittata, plus 20+ more species of cichlids, catfish, plecos, tetras, ect ect

Upper Rio negro as in Colombia or Brazil? Upper as in past the Branco, but still in brazil?

I'm assuming Columbia. . . exportation from Brazil is still restricted as far as I know.

Ah, but for some fish. I think some fish form Brazil can be exported from Brazil....but not all.

But, if tax season allows, I'm game for a trip to SA. Count me in. I'll bring the beer.
