im going to be setting up a Uruguayan tank soon, got a pike on the way. i just gotta figure out the rest of the stock. your tank looks great

I love these little guys, super fun to watch interact. I'm also really enjoying the peppered corys and small schoolers as well. If I had a bigger tank I would have tried to get a C. minuano or a species of Australoheros. Good luck with your tank!

Ken how come these guys like to be crowded? Btw thanks for all the comments!

''stacking'' the term for overcrowding a cichlid aquarium to cut down agression gives the fish for targets to take them down a notch give less territorial issues if u keep Africans this is a must i've always done this and it works great from my expirences I kept africans for many years till I caught the ca/sa craze I notice not as many ca/sa keepers do this and the folks on this side of mfk look down on it but not taking to the extreme and good filtration it works wonders never tried it with pairs

I have 2 gymnogeophagus sp paso pache II, 4 balzanii, and 2 Cr. minuano in my 75. Nothing other than some slight conspecific aggression directed towards the females.

im super stoked. im getting the pike and 6 G. el norte. im looking at buenos aires tetras and some cories to fill in the rest of the tank

Good looking tank and nice stock list. That's a 45 isn't it? They make great display tanks. I had a couple a few years ago planted with Blue Bulldog Discus. They are small, manageable and great looking. Good job!

the new plants, not the jave fern or amazon sword, cost me $6 :D got 5 el norte and 3 Yerbalito from Ken Davis. they're already eating pellets and flakes.

the pike (Puctata “Blue 33”) is in QT for ick right now but looks great, hope he does alright. he came from Scott at Amazon Tropicals

The yerbalita are really cool, I got 3 in the auction. The body shape is a lot different than the rhabdotus ones. The females are just a bit too large to get eaten by my minuano, luckily.

Is that a 55, Sean?
