Does anyone know where j ca. Source some Uruguayan crenicichla? I'm particularly interested in the crenicichla celidochilus. Thanks!

I got my Celio from Ken at Southeast Exotics and Tropicals. They where pretty pricey though I had thought I paid $150 a piece but checking back they really set me back $250 a piece for "4-5 inches" which turned out to actually be 2-3 inches. I'm not sure but I think he still has 3 Celio's but Kens currently collecting though I believe and should be away for 2 weeks or so. I however spoke to Jeff/TUIC recently though and he said he'd be getting in Punctata this winter.

Thanks Kolt. I had a bad experience with Ken last year and would prefer to not do business with him. Hopefully they come around though. I really want some for a Uruguayan tank I'm setting up soon . I opted not to get the inirida's since I want to save on heating cost.

Trust me paying $250 for 2-3 inch fish that was actually supposed to be 4-5 inches wasn't exactly what I call a good experience. lol! What about the Punctata I said Jeff should be getting in? No interest in them?

That punctata looks great but I'm concerned with their aggression. I want to pair then out in a 75 and I have heard their conspecific aggression is off the charts. Any experience with them?

If you are into C. minuano, send PM to abarilot. He may still have F1 available

Thanks Rocksor. I'm more tempted by the saxatilis types or the celidochilus. Something with some good color. The minuano seem like insectivores as well which doesn't excite me so much as the more generalized carnivores or piscovores.

I will wait to see what Jeff gets in. I wish there were more people selling Uruguayan crenicichla.
