Just one thing to remember with saltwater fish, they should be fed saltwater foods, lot of fish succumb to this unfortunately, although it often takes weeks to even years to kill.
What I love about ribbon eels (besides the shape), is that they can live over 40 years.

- I probably should have clarified that in the jar food advice - that the fish most closely aligned with the ecosystem the eel is from is what should be used. Indian Mud Morays, Snowflake Eels, Ribbon Eels, and even Tesselata Eels all prefer and thrive on very different diets.

Rest assured - This particular eel only eats Saltwater meats, and the majority of his diet is crustacean based.
