used 240... Good deal or no?

Im looking at a used 240 (8 x 2 x 2) It has an big acrylic sump and a homade wooden stand, all kinds of rock, air pumps, lids ect. ect. It has been sitting for 2yrs and the guy said he wont take any less than $500. Is it a good deal?

looks like the same tank as mine. Glasscages prob. I bought mine for 250 used on crageslist with a broken center brace and nothing with it. It is a good deal will the sump and everything. You can get the tank brand new for like 700 i think.

ask for 400, plus, why is the tank so blurry ? must have scratches "? maybe you need to see it in person first !

So the actual 240 is glass? It looks dirty as crap. If it's glass then it can be cleaned....no biggie. if it's acrylic and looks like that then it's probably scratched. I'd hassle him and say you have to clean it and make a big deal out of it. Might get 25 bucks off, but hey 25 bucks is better than nothing. I'd personally get it if it had good seals and if it wasn't acrylic.

i agree with previous posts...if its glass then it can be cleaned, but if its acrylic then i would pass imo....try haggling with the price...its been sitting there for two years, i pretty sure if you gave him $400 cash he would take it...good luck
