used 55- worth getting?

well, id like to thank everyone for the good advice. the 55 for 150 was sold to another guy who took it a few hours before i called to finalize the deal. the other 55 is in bad shape- needs new silicone. however, this thread was quite informative and i plan to continue to troll craigslist in my area for a good deal! thanks all!

What I did when I bought my used 100g, I asked them to fill the water up 75%. That way, you know there's no leaks or if someone is trying to sell you a tank with a known leak. If the tank is good they'd have no problem doing it. At least not who I got it from.
If you want an oscar look around for a 75. That would be my luck though, call and the guy tells you he just sold it.
