Using Kent Marine Iodine Supplement For FW Tank?

I was wondering if I could use this for a FW tank as my aquarium has low levels of iodine and iodine helps ghost shrimp molt and not die in the process. Would it work? If not what do you recommend I use?

I used to use it when I kept Cherax. Not sure if it helped, but it did not kill anything.
 
Why don't you try an experiment? Two 2.5 gallon tanks, a couple strands of anarchis, and 6 ghost shrimp each. Keep all parameters identical, but dose with Iodine in one, and not the other. Keep a log, note growth rate, stuff like that.
