My clown have white spot, noticed it about 5 days ago and thinking of adding salt to treat it...whats your thoughts? are loaches ok with salt? if so what ratio? Currently i have raised the temp to 30-32 C and vacuuming the sand every couple of days. Ammo and nitrite =0 nitrate usually around 10, never over 20. Extra surface aggetation has been added with the raised temps. Other tank mates are ghost knife, L333 pleco, and couple of small americans.
Thanks

It can be but certain strains and stages of growth are more resistant. If they dont respond, try to spike the temp 33 c for 12-24hr and then bring it back to 31 f for a few cycles.

I've gone as high as 1tsp with clowns and higher with other species. Just be sure to dissolve it into water first and apply slowly over a couple days. .I would also keep increasing heat.

and what type of salt? i have some aquarium salt on hand, i can with a second hand tank i brought.... im guessing its between 5 and 10 yrs old....should still be fine?right??
