I'm glad to help

I'm don't know that much about gill flukes apart from the symptoms they cause fish to have and how to treat them, but it appears that some fish can sometimes carry gull flukes for quite some time before the flukes become a problem (some people also suspect that certain live foods like black worms can carry gill flukes with them);

Gill flukes are absolutely tiny and you are unlikely to see them with the naked eye, more than often the only symptoms fish display when they have gill flukes is rapid/heavy breathing or inflamed/sore-looking gills or the fish flicking and rubbing itself against stuff in the tank or all of these symptoms together. So it can be difficult in ID'ing what the fish is exactly suffering from since these sorts of symptoms are share by many diseases and parasites or caused by other problems.
