Using tadpoles at feeders ?

Why do you want to feed live so bad?

Hello; It may be possible for some tadpoles to have a bad taste or a form of toxin? Amphibians are known to secrete such chemicals in their skin.
 
I tried feeding native tadpoles to my native fish..they bite than spit out..they have a bad taste..so most fish will not eat them.

Its part of there defense, a soft round ball of yummy food..what better way to not get eaten ..?
 
I've tried feeding bullfrog tadpoles to several different species of fish, and none would eat them. They tried them but its like they have a bad taste or something...
