uv filter ?????

I was thinking about getting a inline uv sterilizer to help with algae and stuff well i was wondering if i can put it inline with my 405. my other option is to get this canister i saw here

inline with 405 is fine but set up a bypass so you can adjust the flow thru the uv

AquaEl is a great filter, I have never had problems with any of mine(my mums/moms) (2 one 250 plus and one 250) and I love the fact that even though you don't get the UV model (plus) you can still put it in later if you want it... I would almost compare the Aqua El to the likes of Ehiem. In Australia they are a pricey unit, but so dam simple to operate and maintain, the media is awesome too! least you know if it's part of the filter, you don't have to worry about leaking from inlines etc. word of warning though, when you prime it, make sure you have the handle on, its very powerful!

ill just get the twister uv from doctor fosters and put it on the discharge of my 405. about how much should i have bypassed?

use unions to install it to the canister this way you can unhook the sterilizer and hook the lines back together.....
