I'm wanting to put a uv sterelizer on my 90. any recomendations? thanks

What kind of filter(s?) are you running now? Cannister(s?) or HOB(s?) ?

Yeah, when you have it running make sure the water CRAWLS throough it.The slower the flow rate, especially under the rated minimum, the more dwell time the water will have under the UV rays/lamp.In turn this will effectively blast more nasties like bacteria/parasites/algae.

A ball valve should help you to slow the flow.

coralife 18W or 36W are real nice good bang for the buck sterilizers..

I use the turbo twist. 18 Shgould be fine for a 90 man... It will also kill single celled algae!!!! Made a huge difference on my tank.

I'm running an xp3 and a ac 500. clear water but it gets a green tint by the end of the week. tests fine. figure a sterilizer will clear it up

xp3 with the 18W would be nice.... the 9watt would be good too

cool i'll look into it. who has the best pricing. I've used petsolutions lately, been very competitive.

ebay, thatfishplace.com is pretty cheap... look arround online you can find them really cheap...

I have the turbo twist 18w on my 220. They list the flow rate on the box. The only rate I remember is the lowest to kill parasites - 120gph. I've got mine down to 140gph. I run the fluidized bed from the same pump so it's a dance to get in high enough for the FB and low as possible for the UV.
