planning on getting one for my FRT.
hopefully it kills a lot of hte bacteria in the water???
what benefits do i get out of this..besides killing organisms that cause algae bloom. will it be like a extra AC110 filter on my back purifying my water ^^?

Water looks clearer to me with UV running. I'm not sure if it's equivalent to an AC110 but it wouldn't hurt to have a UV to keep down harmful microbes. A good investment if you have expensive fish.

UV"s do not filter the water they kill the free floating bacteria,algae,parasites in your tank that harm fish and make your water cloudy. Just remember if the exposure time is to low then they do nothing at all.

no they are a good thing to have just have to match the unit to what you want it to do
