How big of a UV sterilizer is necessary for a 220 gallon? Also does anyone want to recommend me one off a site that ships to Canada, that isn't overly expensive.

there are alot of options, i think anything in the 30watt range would be more than enough.

Dont use ant that look like that jaebo one in the link above... I had one that looked the same, its hard plastic housing sucks...

The housing on my old one sprung a leak after 1.5 years of use... Seems the UV lighting literally was eating away at part of the housing...

By the time i un-hooked it all and checked where it was leaking, just a little push and the effected area would sink right in... If i didnt notice water on the floor, i think max 2 days i would have been in trouble...

Now i use one with steel housing for that reason...

Not to mention thats a local China brand of aqua product for their local market...

Now not saying all there products are bad, but with things like UV... Do you want to risk it?

Honestly im not sure... I've learned my lesson and now rather spend a bit more than risk 200G of water on my hardwood floors and carpet...

I just bought this thinking it would work, and that it was at pets unlimited on the clearance table for $12. it says it Enhances the performance of UV sterilizers/clarifiers, and is rated for ponds up to 4000 U.S gallons. Would it work if i attached the clarifier in the tube of the inlet on a JEBO 839(400 GPH) and ran it with ceramic rings, and or Bio Balls in side of it? They had another one there, if it would be better having one on both, the inlet, and outlet?
