  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Honestly, becareful of any brand claiming to be a sterilizer unit, since most work merely as claifiers when you run the math...

IMO...they're not necessary if you're keeping up with tank maintenance and have a good filter. Also, they only kill free floating bacteria/algae.

I have the Aqua Ultraviolet and took it out since it was in tank and was heating up my water.

My tank is still clear and my fish...healthy and disease free.

The Jaebo units don't have pumps so I would think you could use whatever pump you want to reach the level of sterilization that you desire.

That's good one and I used 1 before until it's broke. It's really bulky and limited option how to put (mount) it in your tank, the foam clog really fast if you have heavy stock, best if you have a sump.

When I first set up my 265G two years ago water clarity was a huge problem during cycling. I don't think that was really uncommon but my water was green with algae even with WC. I decided to throw two killing machine in the sump and within two days it all cleared up.

Make no mistake, I cannot say it's sterilizing anything, but I know it did a good job clearing my tank. I probably dont need it anymore, but I still keep the two 24watts in my sump. Where I have it the water is fairly filtered so iv only changed the filter twice in two years and that's just because I had a bunch sitting around.
