Okay searched this topic and didn't find exactly what I was looking for. Which UV sterilizer has been the most dependable for people on this forum? I had a Coralife 36W turbotwist that broke within months of setting it up and it was the fixture that went bad, not the bulb. I still have the housing and all but it is no good. I want something that will last a while. Need one for a 100 gallon tank and one for a 125.

I have a Gamma on my 90gal and one on my 600 gal pond. They are nice units. Built strong, quality parts, heavy duty wiring and transformer.

Cleared up a cloudy water problem in my 90 gal I was fighting for months.

I think the site is www.current-usa.com

i love emporer aquatics... but they are $$$$

I just bought a Coralife Turbo-Twist UV Sterilizers 18w. Have not ran it yet (arrived today) but seems to be of good construction. I'll report back next week.

Ive had one running on an ac50 power head with the micron filter for months. Works amazingly well. (crosses fingers) I know the gamma units are good as well if you don't feel like going back to coral life.

Thanks. I'm still looking. Not in a hurry at all.....just doing some homework.

I had the same problem with my Coralife 36W turbotwist. I e-mailed them and believe it or not they stood behind their product and replaced the bad ballast. I did have to provide a recept. One other option is i found the ballast on a web site for $54. Let me know if you'd like the link.

Thanks!

Having owned several brands of UV lights... Danner UV's have been head and shoulders above anything else I've seen in quality of construction... They nor their replacement bulbs are easy to find... but in my experience they are worth the effort to seek out...
