I have the turbotwist..It's been going for a couple years. I think the bulb should've burned out by now but it is still kickin. Really helps control the algae thats for sure.

I have two turbotwists, and have used both for about two years, with no problems. Don't know what's going on, and maybe I just got lucky with the two I bought, but I figured I'd say it.

I've also had a few Turbo Twists and I like them... but they aren't nearly as well constructed as the Danner lights...

FYI - The UVradiation erodes constantly from the first day you turn it on... If it's erosion were documented on a chart, it would not erode linerally... but not exponentially either... but an arch somewhere in between...

Everything I've read about them suggests that they have eroded to 50% between 9~12 months constant use...

In conclusion... The bulb will continue to emit light long after it stops emiting UV radiation...

After 24 months of constant use a UV bulb will certainly emit zero UV radiation.... I suggest you replace the bulb.

Having owned several brands of UV lights... Danner UV's have been head and shoulders above anything else I've seen in quality of construction... They nor their replacement bulbs are easy to find... but in my experience they are worth the effort to seek out...

Are these the ones?
