Danceswithsavs has spread her bull around all over. Youtube, kingsnake, redtail, thetegu, and I wouldnt doubt captivebred and repticzone. She and I are mortal enemies, lets put it at that. :/

shes got a lot of those, with her thinking that she can train her savannah monitor like a dolphin

Whats so great about Exo Terra waterfalls? Its a waste of tank space, money, and that fake rock plastic resin crap.

If you want to create a fancy naturalistic chameleon enclosure, by all means, go ahead. But I dont know what that'll do for ya.

I would like a show animal rather than handling animals I have, where a natural vivarium will be a change for what I have.

It is my understanding chamelians should be handled as little as possible?

Whats wrong with me wanting to have a naturalistic centrepiece with a beautiful animal in it Loco?

I'm expanding the way I keep animals, the animals I keep, and want to explore all ways/sides of keeping animals...this is one.

Is she the one that used to 'drown' her animals to tame them?

Yeah, Jess, thats the one. Do whatever you can if you see her pop up...

When did I say not to make a natural terrarium. I said GO AHEAD! I just dont like those waterfall things is all. I just worded it wrong, my bad.

Now chameleon handling... Its not that its bad for them. It just takes LESS STRESS to phaze them than it does with other herps. You can handle them a fair amount, you just have to take caution, do it very gently and slowly, and dont startle them. When you handle a cham though, its the weirdest feeling in the world, with those little oven mitt hands!

I know theyre so damn cute.

Be impossible to tame/stop them biting though wouldnt it? More time, more handling etc?

'Taming' them would just stress them out?

Jess the best way is to keep live plants in the enclosure, it keeps humidity better and its just more appeazing for the natural look. About the waterfalls they are a pool for bacteria, literally youd have to clean them constantly. The mist system is cheap and can be made with any home supplies store time tubing and small pump.

yeah id definately get the mister thing. The ready made onces you can buy, they any good?

varanio whats your input on the taming them post I posted a few posts up?

Taming on chams Im not to familiar with, I know panthers are more aggressive, I think chams are great to look at and like you said would be better off as display animals, just because they can stress.
