Yes. So any color they show could only be attributed to diet, genetics, and the natural light highlighting their color. Not causing that color.
It’s the very reason that my turtle has a basking light/daylight bulbs even though his tank gets direct sun light from windows on both sides of his tank.
He won’t get the uv he needs from the windows because the glass filters it out.
