Yes it will, its ok. As for the vit D3 versus uvb ligth, basilisks belong to the group alongside iguanas, anoles, lacertids, etc, that really need uv ligth in order to be healty and that are extremely prone to MBD when raised without it, even with vit D3 suplements.
