nope.. only freshly thawed frozen meat. market shrimp, catfish chunks, krill, chicken breast chunks, chicken hearts. i don't feed fish kibble or live fish.

i'm sure (or mostly sure) it's not food
related. everyone else in the tank has eaten the exact same things, and he's still willing to eat.

Well if he's eating that's still a good sign. What exactly are the nitrates reading in your tank?

well, the colors on the card for 80 ppm and 160 ppm shades are quite close. i'm reading it as 80 ppm. which is high, no doubt. but i think it's not so bad that it will impair the fish. especially big healthy dudes like these tems.

the good news is it's friday, and that means Jason is going to be home tomorrow and he can help me do a 50% water change on their tank. and then i can start a standard 7 day course of pimafix and i can stick a whole cup of salt in (cause i don't remember the last time i added salt was and i've done a few water changes).

i know a couple of you guys are local.. who wants to come over and help a sick old woman do a water change sooner rather than later? ;)

I also want to let Catfish know if you need help keeping track of the Leauge list I will help when you need me. My son said he could help also if need be.

We had a few people with Cichla that were around and never returned so I just took them off the list. I think we should start a picture thread for all the league members. Every league member should post pictures of there Peaccok Bass any size and Sp. type and name of your P's if you have named them. And let's keep it clean and on topic. If there should be any need to make another thread in the lounge then lets do that but keep this one Cichla orientated. Thanks in advance.

80ppm is crazy anything over 40.. i dont liek anything over 20 ppm is dangerous!
