I'd just go without food, and maybe have one feeding in a ziplock bag or some other container and tell someone to do that one feeding somewhere in the halfway point

i like the idea of prepackaging the food so mr/mrs dumbfishkeeperperson can just dump the whole bag of "day one" food so on and so forth.

I agree with a few posts here, feed them heavy for a few days ahead, not all at once but 3 to 4 times a day all they will eat, careful not to foul the water, leave the temp as is, and have a nice holiday.
