So ill be going on vacation for 5 days at the end of this month and im not worried about most of my tanks but the baby black arow concerns me.

The arowana is about 3.5 inches in a 55 gallon grow out by himself

The last time they will be fed will be monday morning and i wont be back till sat night.....so they will all be without food for 4 days.

I plan on doing water changes sun night before i leave monday morning, droping temps a little and plan to power feed.

Any other suggestion?

It might be better to actually feed lighter before you go if there's a concern for water quality although being gone a short time it won't even be a week between water changes.

I do wc once a week so water quality should be fine.....ill be back a day before its time to do once again.....not too worried about water quality with a 3.5 inch arow in a 55 with an ehiem 2217

I was concered about the length of time without food since hes young

Get a neighbor to feed

I would but i dont trust people that dont keep fish or havent kept fish... im also not close enough with my neighbors to let them come inside my house when im not here ...they would prob over feed and make matters worse. I would ask my buddys but they all will be going to the beach as well.

It's hard. I used to pre cut all my food and label in zip lock bags for my neighbor to feed every other day. Luckily my brother moved 15 min away and also a fish keeper so we take care of each other's tanks while one is away.

Nice to have someone that knows what they are doing makes the vacation stress free

If you are in a larger city you can find fish sitters. Check with your local fish club / aquarium society. I have already found several people in the club that are going to fish sit while I'm gone for two weeks. They will even be able to do a water change for me while I'm gone so the fish will be in good hands.
