Ordered them from thailand. Couldnt tell you how to get them havent seen them before or since i got mine. Guy i got these from is out of the fish biz. Got 4 in sold 2 and i still have 2 should have kept all 4 thought i would be able to get more. Took me around 7 years to finally get these cats. They were the only cats i wanted and never could get.

Do they take dead foods for you?

I've read that they stay small in captivity, 2-3 times smaller than those big ones you showed caught from the wild. What's your knowledge on this? Have you read the same or otherwise?

Never offered them non live foods all the fish in their tank eat live only, have seen vids of some taking non live. Never heard about the size thing but i would say its true for most of the large fish we keep in tanks. I love these cats def in my top 3 love watching them hunt and their stomacks seem to stretch like snakes. Wish i would have kept all of them guy told me he could get more easy but he fell off of the face of the planet LOL. Sold my lil goonch to messing with him havent seen small ones at the price i paid since then, thats what i get for being greedy.

Wow! Amazing. They do take pellets for this keeper!

Right but I was not speaking in general or making a trivial comment. In what I read (a while ago, so cannot point out where), it was specifically pointed out that they are known to suffer from dwarfism, or whatever you call it, in captivity. I would really like to understand how general this statement is with respect to just this fish. A few guys from Malaysia and Philippines on here say they are keeping them in a large pond. Hopefully they will continue their threads - have not seen anything from them in ~ half a year now.
