That looks like a gar scratches...

My aro got punked by my tropical one time and the scratches are similar..The armatus won't really care about the rays, now the ray ?...well, I have seen ray stealing food from armatus

Yes... Gar scratches. Them stupid brainless beak havin dinosaur flippers don't have regard for any fish with food in thier mouths. Payara's teeth usually stick so deep into food it takes them a while to eat.... Terrible for the payara but heaven for them beak havin thieves.... You're lucky the eye wasn't hit. Gar are terrible for raking eyes.

IF the Armatus is sizeably bigger than the rays you should be OK. Same size.... I wouldn't risk it unless it's a BIG tank.

the rays are 6-7" max, and will moved moved very soon... the armatus is around 8.5-9"
